# Guardiola had row with David Silva – are cracks starting to appear?

Manchester City’s 2-0 defeat at home to Wolves on Sunday came from nowhere, ensuring Liverpool pulled eight points clear at the top of the Premier League.

The Reds find themselves in a dream position, as they look to finally end almost 30 years without a league title.

According to the [https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7547683/Manchester-City-manager-Pep-Guardiola-bristling-best-nice-guy-act-falls-flat.html](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7547683/Manchester-City-manager-Pep-Guardiola-bristling-best-nice-guy-act-falls-flat.html)*[Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7547683/Manchester-City-manager-Pep-Guardiola-bristling-best-nice-guy-act-falls-flat.html)*, Pep Guardiola’s unhappiness with his team has been evident throughout this season.

After the 2-2 with Tottenham in August, the Spaniard had a row with David Silva, claiming he wasn’t doing showing sufficient energy levels:

> David, you didn’t give us enough running. Where were the legs?

There is definitely a feeling that all is not well at City, just months after they achieved an unprecedented domestic treble.

All of a sudden, they no longer look invincible, with injuries to the likes of Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane, coupled with the exit of Vincent Kompany, exposing their squad depth.

Liverpool have got under Guardiola’s skin and this latest report suggests further proof of that.

He is a perfectionist who demands the very best from his players, but some individuals look past their best, most notably club legend Silva.

The champions are still more than capable of turning things around, winning the vast majority of their remaining 30 Premier League matches, but there is a hint of unrest at the club.
