# Harry Redknapp reveals why he wants Liverpool to win the Premier League

Harry Redknapp is known most by some for winning ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’, but his managerial record also speaks for itself.

The 72-year-old has been in charge of the likes of Tottenham, West Ham and Portsmouth throughout his career, winning the FA Cup with the latter back in 2008.

Speaking to the *[Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7566119/Harry-Redknapp-Tottenham-wont-sack-Mauricio-Pochettino-squad-good-Liverpool-City.html)*, Redknapp admits he is desperate for Liverpool to win the Premier League title this season, mainly because he put money on them to do so:

> I can see them winning the league this year. Give them the title and give it to them now. I’ve had a big bet and I think the bookmakers should pay me out!

Redknapp also admitted Liverpool are the one club he wishes he had managed, saying he “loved” them.

Although there is more to Redknapp’s title thoughts than simply wanting Liverpool to clinch glory, he does seem confident that they will get the job done.

There seems to be a growing swell of opinion claiming this will finally be the year when the Reds get their hands on the Premier League title for the first time.

There is a long way to go, however, and victory at Manchester United on Sunday would be another positive step in the right direction.

Here’s hoping Redknapp is taking home some winnings next May!
