# Havertz and Sancho still on Liverpool’s radar, claims Pearce

Kai Havertz and Jadon Sancho are still both on Liverpool’s radar, according to [The Athletic’s](https://theathletic.com/1665996/2020/03/12/jurgen-klopp-liverpool-adrian-origi-minamino-quality/?source=shared-article) James Pearce.

The pair have been [tipped](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/02/19/liverpool-claimed-to-have-made-e125m-bid-for-havertz/) to [join](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2019/12/28/liverpools-interest-in-jadon-sancho-confirmed/) the Reds this summer, as they continue to star for Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund, respectively.

Havertz and Sancho have a combined worth of £198 million, according to [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jadon-sancho/profil/spieler/401173) – Havertz £81m, Sancho £117m – outlining their potential as players.

Pearce states that Liverpool’s interest in the duo remains genuine, although the fact that both would cost ‘in excess of £100 million’ could be a stumbling block.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

It is clear to see how exciting both Havertz and Sancho could be in a Liverpool shirt, considering they are already excelling at the top level, despite being just 20 and 19.

Havertz’s guile in an attacking midfield role could add another dimension to the Reds’ play. His [five assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/326413/Show/Kai-Havertz) in the league this season are only matched by [Jordan Henderson](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/26/Show/England-Liverpool), in terms of the Reds’ midfielders.

Meanwhile, Sancho is a breathtaking talent, possessing the kind of pace, trickery and end product that could be devastating in this Liverpool team. The England international has [14 goals and 15 assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/346300/Show/Jadon-Sancho) in the Bundesliga in 2019/20 and has been [tipped](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/03/11/dortmund-chief-admits-great-great-talent-sancho-could-leave-this-summer/) to become of the world’s best players by Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke.

I do see their price tags being a potential issue, unlike the [heavily-linked](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/03/04/werner-really-wants-liverpool-move/) Timo Werner, so it will be interesting to see if Liverpool are willing to pay slightly over the odds this summer.
