# Klopp and Van Dijk victorious at Northwest Football Awards

Jurgen Klopp and Virgil van Dijk have both taken home prizes at the Northwest Football Awards 2019.

Klopp scooped the Manger of the Season award, while Van Dijk was named Premier League Player of the Season.

It has been a memorable year for the Liverpool duo, who have arguably become the two most influential figures at Anfield.

Klopp continues to cement his reputation as the world’s top manager, while Van Dijk is currently unrivalled in the centre-back stakes.

The Reds’ Champions League triumph in June no doubt played a big part in the pair winning the awards, as well as their current eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League.
