# Klopp speaks of ‘love’ for Coutinho

Jurgen Klopp has praised Philippe Coutinho for working hard during a difficult period and says that this hard work will allow the Brazilian to get even better.

Speaking after Liverpool’s 3-1 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday morning, Klopp said that Coutinho makes football look easy, but he puts in a lot of effort to do so.

> I love this player. Who doesn’t love Phil Coutinho? I don’t expect all day perfection. I expect you to work and try to get better every day. That is what Phil is doing and what the team is doing. That is how we make the next steps.

Coutinho was the catalyst for Liverpool’s victory. He scored on the stroke of half-time to give the Reds a much-deserved equaliser, then scored midway through the second half to put Klopp’s men in front.

The Brazilian had been criticised in recent weeks for a string of poor performances. He’d failed to have any major effect on games, and often found himself being substituted in the second half of matches.

Luckily for Liverpool, the 23-year-old was able to re-capture some of the magic which has endeared him to the fans as he put in a man of the match performance.
