# Klopp keen to sign Real Madrid star Isco

Jurgen Klopp is interested in signing Isco from Real Madrid, according to *[El Desmarque](https://eldesmarque.com/madrid/real-madrid/noticias/182900-kloppp-lo-quiere-a-el-y-juega-en-el-real-madrid-de-zidane-ed)*.

The midfielder has fallen out of favour at the Liga giants this season, making [just six league starts](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/82989/Show/Isco) to date.

Because of this, a move away has been [touted](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/real-madrid/20191029/471252623794/isco-real-madrid.html?fbclid=IwAR2VwGc33u3utu5WLGt3pMUiaXx-3n4cLXegFt9aULf1EXX_vj4cR9utras) and Liverpool reportedly see him as a potential option.

Isco has been [linked](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2018/12/05/isco-linked-with-liverpool-move-as-real-frustrations-grow/) with the Reds in the past, but nothing ever materialised, with the 27-year-old now in his seventh season at Madrid, having [joined](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/23083749) from Malaga in 2013.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

I don’t think Isco is worth the hassle for Liverpool and I also highly doubt they would ever make a move for him now.

At one point, he was one of the [most highly-rated](https://www.realmadrid.com/en/news/2013/08/isco-is-the-football-player-within-his-age-with-the-most-matches-in-the-five-great-leagues-from-season-2011/12-) young players in Europe, but he has flattered to deceive too often at Madrid.

He has only hit [double figures twice](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isco#Career_statistics) in seven years at Santiago Bernabeu, which isn’t good enough for someone who possesses his level of class.

A wonderfully talented football, in my opinion, it is difficult to see where he would fit in at Anfield, though.

He neither possess the pace to be effective out wide in a front-three, nor the work-rate and dynamism to slot into a midfield role.

Madrid also [want](https://eldesmarque.com/madrid/real-madrid/noticias/182900-kloppp-lo-quiere-a-el-y-juega-en-el-real-madrid-de-zidane-ed) €70 million for his services, which is hard to justify.
