# Klopp targets Reus and Gundogan

New Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is seriously considering making bids for Borussia Dortmund duo Marco Reus and Ilkay Gundogan, according to Mundo Deportivo.

There were [speculative links](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/593735/Davy-Klaassen-Dortmund-Arsenal-man-United-Liverpool-marco-Reus-Transfer-News) between Reus and Liverpool during the summer, but less than 24 hours into Klopp’s reign at Anfield the 26-year-old is being touted for a move to Merseyside.

The Spanish publication are reporting that Barcelona [are also keen on both](https://www.le10sport.com/football/mercato/mercato-barcelone-klopp-liverpool-le-barca-pourrait-accelerer-sur-deux-dossiers-importants-206165) of the German internationals, and will act fast to secure their signatures.

Sanctions from FIFA have hindered Barcelona’s recruitment, which could complicate any potential deals for the two Dortmund men.

Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal arrived at the Camp Nou in the summer but they must wait until January to play for the Catalans.

Reds boss Klopp [said](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/i-need-people-says-jurgen-10228814) in his first news conference at Liverpool that he has no problem with working alongside the transfer committee.

Swoops for players such as Reus and Gundogan would signal a change from signing youngster with potential to recruiting established world stars at Liverpool.
