# Lallana doubtful for the remainder of the season with injury

Adam Lallana is a doubt for the rest of the season after picking up an injury on Saturday against Crystal Palace.

Manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed to [Liverpoolfc.com](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/296301-jurgen-klopp-adam-lallana-injury-liverpool-fc) that the England midfielder would be a doubt for the rest of the season, but the injury he picked up was not as severe as the club expected.

Lallana went off after only five minutes after coming on as a second-half substitute against Palace in a game the Reds won 2-1.

Klopp said:

> Thank God, that’s not as bad as we thought – a number of weeks..

> There is a little hope, of course, that we can maybe use him again this season but we have to wait; it is absolutely not the time to bring any rush into the situation.

Lallana has had an injury-hit season with the Reds, missing the majority of this year with various problems. With the World Cup coming up, Lallana will definitely not want to rush back to first-team action in fear of aggravating any current injury problems.

Klopp added:

> It is not the Adam Lallana season so far. It makes the season so far even more special when you think that we have played the season without him. He will be back for pre-season, of course.
