An under-strength Reds side got the better of their Merseyside rivals on Sunday afternoon, thanks to Curtis Jones’ brilliant winner. Everton would have felt confident of a first win at Anfield since 1999, but only one team deserved to prevail on the day. Lallana was outstanding in midfield, helping his younger colleagues through the game and showing great quality. Speaking to [LiverpoolFC.com](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/381481-adam-lallana-liverpool-everton-fa-cup-reaction) after the match, the 31-year-old believes the mentality Klopp has created played a huge part in the victory: > It’s the mentality that is instilled throughout LFC and that started when the manager came in. > He wanted to create his own way of playing, his own mentality and you saw that throughout the whole 90 minutes today. > I thought second half we were outstanding, the way we controlled the game, got the goal and they never really caused us any problems. > Adrian was magnificent first half and had to make two or three big saves, but that’s what he’s there for. I thought we fully deserved the win and to get into the next round. ### Read Liverpool Verdict It is hard to put into words the job Klopp is doing at Liverpool, completely transforming the club over the past four years.
