# Lallana wanted by clubs in China and MLS next summer

Adam Lallana is a transfer target for a host of clubs from China and the MLS, according to the [https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/11/03/adam-lallana-emerging-target-clubs-china-mls-liverpool-contract/](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/11/03/adam-lallana-emerging-target-clubs-china-mls-liverpool-contract/)*[Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/11/03/adam-lallana-emerging-target-clubs-china-mls-liverpool-contract/)*‘s Chris Bascombe.

The 31-year-old’s contract at Liverpool expires at the end of the season, having been at Anfield for six years by that point.

The report states that the Reds will offer Lallana a new deal, but “the promise of more regular football” elsewhere could make him opt for a fresh challenge.

Jurgen Klopp is thought to value the midfielder because of his “leadership qualities and ability to play in a number of positions”, having been deployed in a deep-lying No.6 role in Saturday’s 2-1 win away to Aston Villa.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

Lallana has become one of the more divisive players of the Klopp era, with some valuing his contribution and others feeling he is both overrated and injury prone.

In truth, the former Southampton man is no longer good enough to be featuring regularly for a Liverpool side considered the best in the world by some.

He has contributed positively in the recent trips to Manchester United and Villa, in fairness, scoring in the former, but this should be his final season at the club.

Lallana arrived with a big reputation when he joined Liverpool in 2014, but he has never quite reached his potential.
