Liverpool are eyeing up a double swoop for Arsenal pair Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, according to [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-liverpool-set-sights-on-signing-two-arsenal-teenagers/).

The Reds have been [linked](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/02/17/arsenal-optimistic-of-agreeing-new-contract-for-liverpool-target-saka/) with Saka in recent days, with the Gunners trying to tie him down to a new deal.

This latest [report](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-liverpool-set-sights-on-signing-two-arsenal-teenagers/) claims that he and Martinelli are both targets, however, as Liverpool look at long-term transfer options.

Martinelli has caught the eye this season, [scoring 10 times](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/380706/Show/Gabriel-Martinelli), including [twice at Anfield](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50148250) in the Carabao Cup.

Saka and Martinelli could be shrewd additions by Liverpool, considering their long-term potential and current worth. Saka’s [versatility](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bukayo-saka/profil/spieler/433177) down the left flank may appeal to Jurgen Klopp, especially with a back-up to Andy Robertson required this summer.

The teenage Englishman has scored [three assists and added six assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/367185/Show/Bukayo-Saka) this season, highlighting his end product. That’s more goals than Robertson (one) has managed, and the [same number of assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/115726/Show/Andrew-Robertson), albeit sometimes when playing on the wing.

Meanwhile, Martinelli’s all-action style would fit into Liverpool’s attack, with the 18-year-old possessing a [Luis Suarez-esque](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league/arsenal/arsenal-fans-lavish-gabriel-martinelli-with-praise-after-goalscoring-performance/) low centre of gravity, tenacity and [natural talent](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkynTTeXRsw).

He could be an excellent signing in terms of adding squad depth and being a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, with his [10 goals](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/380706/Show/Gabriel-Martinelli) this season across all competitions highlighting the potential he has.
