# Liverpool are now just 13 wins away from Premier League glory

Liverpool’s 2-0 win at home to Sheffield United on Thursday night extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to 13 points, and the Reds still have a game in hand over second-place Leicester City.

Having now played 20 league matches, Jurgen Klopp’s men have just 18 games left to play and if they can win 13 of them, they will be guaranteed to be champions of England for the first time in 30 years.

Of course, things can continue to change depending on the results of clashes involving Leicester and Man City – if those sides drop more points, the required number of wins will drop further.

If Liverpool continue their remarkable winning streak, starting against Tottenham next week, they could clinch the title at home to Aston Villa in April.
