# Liverpool can now win the Premier League title in their next game

Liverpool can now win the Premier League title in their next game, provided that the match aganist Manchester City takes place.

The coronavirus outbreak has disrupted the English season, with matches now [suspended](https://www.thisisanfield.com/2020/03/confirmed-premier-league-suspend-season-due-to-coronavirus/) until April 3rd at the earliest.

The announcement has left some Liverpool fans concerned at the prospect of the campaign being a write-off, should the virus continue to plague the country for months on end.

If the Premier League season does restart, however, which is still very much the aim, Jurgen Klopp’s men will be 90 minutes away from a first league title since 1990.

The Reds will make the trip to Manchester City on April 5th, and should they beat the reigning champions at the Etihad, the job will be done and they’ll be champions.

A win against City would take Liverpool 28 points ahead of their rivals – a gap that would be mathematically impossible for Pep Guardiola’s side to overtake, thus a win at the Etihad will seal a truly historic achievement for the club.

Talk about a huge incentive!
