# Liverpool considering Brandt move

Liverpool are considering an offer for Bayer Leverkusen winger Julian Brandt this summer.

[According to The Mirror,](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/julian-brandt-liverpool-transfer-radar-12876293)Liverpool are plotting a swoop for Brandt as they look to bolster their attacking options.

The report claims that Brandt is seen as an alternative to Nabil Fekir, after Liverpool’s attempt to sign the Frenchman broke down.

Fekir reportedly failed a medical at Melwood, after the club had agreed a deal with Lyon.

Jurgen Klopp is now eyeing a move for his fellow countryman, Brandt, who was named in Germany’s squad for the World Cup in Russia ahead of Manchester Ciy’s Leroy Sane.

The report claims that Liverpool are weighing up a £53m move for the forward, which would make him the most expensive attacker in Liverpool history.

Brandt scored 12 goals in all competitions for Leverkusen last season and has been capped 19 times by Germany, scoring once.
