# Liverpool demanding assurances from Leeds over Brewster deal

Liverpool are demanding assurances from Leeds United over the amount of game time that Rhian Brewster would get if he were to join the club on loan.

[As per The Athletic,](https://theathletic.co.uk/1414585/2019/11/29/leeds-expect-quiet-january-despite-casilla-case-and-possible-loan-recalls-for-nketiah-and-clarke/) the Reds are doing the same for any club looking to sign the player in the new year, as he prepares to leave Anfield on a temporary move away.

Leeds are one of the several clubs looking to snap him up, but keen to get the best move for their player, the Reds are putting their foot down in negotiations.

The Reds have every right to ask the question of Leeds.

They only have to look at the way that Eddie Nketiah has struggled at Elland Road since joining on loan from Arsenal.

The former, who is highly-rated at the Emirates has been unable to break into the starting XI under Marcelo Bielsa, despite frequently impressing off the bench.

After so long out of the game with injuries, Brewster needs to get as much game time under his belt as possible to make up for lost time. Liverpool won’t want him sitting on the bench, wherever he goes.
