# Liverpool fans absolutely love Mane’s gesture to hometown village

Sadio Mane is one of the most popular figures at Liverpool, both on and off the pitch.

He is performing at a world-class level for the Reds, scoring 11 goals and registering six assists in the Premier League this season, according to [https://www.whoscored.com/Players/109915/Show/Sadio-Man%C3%A9](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/109915/Show/Sadio-Man%C3%A9)*[WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/109915/Show/Sadio-Man%C3%A9)*.

Mane is also a hugely likeable figure away from football, due to his down-to-earth personality and kind nature.

That has been perfectly highlighted by a fantastic gesture Mane makes to those in his hometown of Bambaly in Senegal.

A Tweet from [@AfricaFactsZone](https://twitter.com/AfricaFactsZone/status/1214882537207664641?s=20) claims the 27-year-old gives every family in the village £70 per month, also providing free clothes for children.

These Liverpool supporters, and other fans, are in awe of Mane’s kindness, taking to Twitter to laud the forward:

> You can hate Liverpool buh you just have to love this man
