# Liverpool fans are delighted as Clyne returns to training after injury

This is threatening to be one of the greatest seasons in Liverpool’s history, with Premier League glory [imminent](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/table) and the chance of a historic treble still very much alive.

Jurgen Klopp has built a squad full of world-class players – one that is blitzing all that stand before them. Whether it be Alisson and Virgil van Dijk at the back, or Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in attack, there is elite talent throughout this squad.

One player who has become something of a forgotten man, however, is Nathaniel Clyne. The right-back suffered a [cruciate ligament injury](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/07/24/liverpools-nathaniel-clyne-ruled-six-months-suffering-cruciate/) during pre-season and hasn’t featured at all in 2019/20 to date.

In fact, Clyne’s last appearance for Liverpool came in [December 2018 against Arsenal](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46656883), prior to a [loan move to Bournemouth](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46760201).

The 28-year-old is now back and ready to return to training, however, according to [Empire of The Kop](https://www.empireofthekop.com/2020/02/18/video-nathaniel-clyne-returns-to-lfc-training-after-months-out-through-injury/), as he looks to make up for lost time between now and May:

These Liverpool supporters are delighted to see Clyne return to the fold, showing their appreciation for him on Twitter.
