# Liverpool fans are delighted as Reds complete Minamino signing

Liverpool [completed](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/379040-liverpool-fc-agree-deal-to-sign-takumi-minamino) the signing of Takumi Minamino on Thursday, with the 24-year-old officially becoming a Reds player on January 1st, having joined until June 2024.

The Japanese star was one of Salzburg’s standout individuals when they twice came up against Liverpool in the Champions League group stage earlier this season.

Rumours of a move for Minamino emerged this time last week and a deal has been swiftly completed.

The attacking midfielder’s debut could come at home to Everton in the FA Cup third round on January 5th.

Liverpool supporters are delighted with the arrival of Minamino, sharing their thoughts on Twitter.
