# Liverpool fans are desperate for Lallana to stay beyond the summer

Adam Lallana is a [transfer target](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/02/06/adam-lallana-line-forbrendan-rodgers-reunion-afterleicester/) for Leicester City this summer, with the midfielder set to leave Liverpool at the end of the season.

Brendan Rodgers is [reportedly](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/02/06/adam-lallana-line-forbrendan-rodgers-reunion-afterleicester/) eyeing up a move for the player he signed back in 2014, during his time at Anfield.

Leicester are leading a four-way chase for Lallana, according to the [Telegraph’s](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/02/06/adam-lallana-line-forbrendan-rodgers-reunion-afterleicester/) Chris Bascombe, with Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham also monitoring the situation.

Lallana [joined](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/27647888) Liverpool from Southampton for £25 million in the summer of 2014, and has gone on to make [175 appearances, scoring 22 goals](https://www.lfchistory.net/Players/Player/Profile/1273) along the way.

The most recent of those came in the [1-1 draw away to Manchester United](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50030956) back in October, preserving Liverpool’s unbeaten Premier League record in the process.

News of Lallana’s [potential exit](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/02/06/adam-lallana-line-forbrendan-rodgers-reunion-afterleicester/) has produced a mixed response, but some Reds supporters want him to stay put.

These Liverpool fans took to Twitter to provide their thoughts on the news, urging the club to retain the midfielder’s services.

> We need him. He is a good player going forward and keeping the ball in tight situations.
