# Liverpool fans are desperate for Reds to beat West Ham and make history

Liverpool are putting together one of the most remarkable seasons in English football history.

The have collected 64 points from a possible 66 in 2019/20 to date, putting them [13 points clear at the top of the Premier League](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/table), with two games in hand.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have gone up another gear from last season, when they agonisingly missed out on title glory, despite accumulating a [club record 97 points](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018%E2%80%9319_Premier_League).

Rather than feel sorry for themselves, however, they have reacted in stunning fashion, with even champions Manchester City unable to stop them.

Sunday’s [2-0 win over Manchester United](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51080695) means Liverpool have beaten 18 of the other 19 teams in the league this season.

Next Wednesday the Reds visit West Ham, knowing if they win, they will have beaten every other top flight team for the first time in the club’s history, as The Athletic’s James Pearce pointed out on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/JamesPearceLFC/status/1219264095544922113?s=20):

> The records keep on coming. If [#LFC](https://twitter.com/hashtag/LFC?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) win at West Ham next week it will be the first time in the club's top-flight history that they have beaten every other team in the division in the same season.

These Liverpool supporters have been urging Klopp’s men to achieve the feat next week.
