# Liverpool fans are divided over possible Havertz deal

Some Liverpool supporters are divided when it comes to discussing the potential signing of Kai Havertz this summer.

The 20-year-old is one of the most highly-rated young midfielders in Europe, starring for Bayer Leverkusen this season.

Havertz scored in his side’s 3-1 win away to Rangers in the Europa League last week – his [10th goal](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/326413/Show/Kai-Havertz) of the season.

Liverpool have been continually [linked](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/02/19/liverpool-claimed-to-have-made-e125m-bid-for-havertz/) with signing the Germany international, as Jurgen Klopp looks at bolstering his midfield options further.

A huge bid is expected to be required in order to prise Havertz away from Leverkusen, with [Bayern Munich](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/02/06/havertzs-potential-move-to-bayern-depends-on-coutinho-claims-ballack/) also thought to be interested.

While the youngster is clearly a huge talent, his price tag means there could be element of risk behind a potential deal for him, with Leverkusen boss Peter Bozs confirming to [Goal](https://www.goal.com/en-ng/news/havertz-will-cost-more-than-100m-bosz-admits-leverkusen-cant/1rz2oaw1a4m9j1dtpsretuk0ul) that over €100 million (£90m) will be needed to sign him.

For that reason, as well as others, not all Liverpool fans are behind the idea of buying Havertz, although others are hugely excited about a deal coming to fruition.
