# Liverpool fans are excited after De Bruyne’s comments about Klopp

Kevin De Bruyne was powerless to prevent Liverpool beating Manchester City 3-1 on Sunday afternoon.

The Belgian produced some moments of class, but ultimately, his side were outplayed by the European champions on a memorable day at Anfield.

De Bruyne is one of the best players in the world – someone who would be an incredible signing for Liverpool if the opportunity ever arose.

Although that seems highly unlikely, some recent quotes from the 28-year-old have got Reds supporters excited:

> Kevin De Bruyne: "Me & Klopp have a good relationship, he wanted me at Dortmund at a time… I think I admire him, and he admires me so every time we see each other is always in a good note." [pic.twitter.com/fbd0J4E5qq](https://t.co/fbd0J4E5qq)

These Liverpool fans took to Twitter to talk up the possibility to De Bruyne heading to Anfield.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

De Bruyne is an exceptional talent, with his crossing ability and all-round creativity genuinely world-class.

The midfielder was a Liverpool supporter as a boy, and while it seems almost impossible to imagine him ditching City for the Reds, supporters will still allow themselves to get excited.

Liverpool’s midfield is already very strong, but De Bruyne would take it to another level.

Don’t bank on it happening, unfortunately.
