# Liverpool fans are left bemused by Carragher’s comments about the title race

Jamie Carragher is not only a Liverpool legend, but one of the best pundits on television.

His sparring with Gary Neville makes for must-see viewing on a regular basis and he is always insightful about the game.

> There is no doubt a big injury to a big Liverpool player will severely hamper them.

> So that’s why I don’t think anyone really at Liverpool is getting too carried away.

These Reds supporters have reacted to Carragher’s remarks on Twitter, citing Alisson as a reason for him being completely wrong.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

Carragher is wide of the mark with these comments and the fans were right to point out his error.

Alisson was one of Liverpool’s most important players last season and losing him to injury in August could easily have derailed their campaign.

Instead, Jurgen Klopp’s men have won every Premier League game without him, leading the way by eight points.

It’s almost as if goalkeepers don’t count sometimes!
