# Liverpool fans are relieved after latest update regarding 2019/20 season

Many Liverpool supporters have reacted with huge positivity after the latest update regarding the 2019/20 season.

On Thursday, the FA [confirmed](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/03/19/good-news-for-liverpool-as-the-fa-confirm-plans-to-end-the-2019-20-season/) that the campaign had been suspended indefinitely, meaning they plan on finishing it at some point. Football won’t return until at least April 30th, though.

There had been fears that the season would be declared null and void, potentially denying Liverpool a first league title since 1990.

Jurgen Klopp’s men currently hold a 25-point lead over Manchester City, with their title win bordering on a given.

It would, therefore, be horribly cruel for Liverpool to miss out after such a glorious season – one that has seen them drop just five points in 29 league matches.

Needless to say, this update from the FA has been met with a huge sigh of relief from many of a Reds persuasion.

These Liverpool supporters took to Twitter to provide their thoughts on the matter, with resounding positivity the order of the day.
