# Liverpool fans don’t want to see a Coutinho reunion at Anfield

Philippe Coutinho’s future appears to be up in the air once again, following claims from *[Bild](https://www.bild.de/bild-plus/sport/fussball/fussball/fc-bayern-transfer-strategie-was-passiert-mit-coutinho-67469958,view=conversionToLogin.bild.html#fromWall)* that he won’t be retained by Bayern Munich beyond this summer.

The Brazilian [joined](https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bundesliga/news/philippe-coutinho-joins-bayern-munich-on-loan-from-barcelona-6293) the Bundesliga giants on loan from Barcelona last summer, but he has not impressed enough for them to consider signing him permanently.

Coutinho’s spell at Barca was bordering on disastrous, having completed a [£142 million move](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/jan/06/philippe-coutinho-join-barcelona-142m-deal-liverpool) there from Liverpool in January 2018.

He found himself [jeered](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6943537/Barcelona-fans-jeer-Philippe-Coutinho-comes-bench.html) by his own supporters at times and was part of the team that [lost 4-0 to the Reds](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48179167) in the Champions League semi-final second leg.

This latest report has immediately led to fans discussing a potential Liverpool return for Coutinho, who scored [54 goals in 201 appearances](https://www.lfchistory.net/Players/Player/Profile/1252) for the Reds between 2013 and 2018.

One supporter on Twitter said he was fully behind the idea, should the opportunity arise:

> If he was available in the summer for a knockdown price, I’d bring him home. [https://t.co/ZrXCurZAvL](https://t.co/ZrXCurZAvL)

These fans disagreed, though, claiming Coutinho’s time at Anfield is done and the Reds have moved on without him.

> I honestly don’t think you guys need him! I’d let him be rather then potentially ruining the harmony of your current squad!

> Surely he doesn't fit now? And Klopp has said he doesn't work with players twice… Always a first time though…

> No chance, faked injury and forced his way out. Just like Suarez, don’t want him anywhere near our club.
