# Liverpool fans mock Man City supporter’s claim about Premier League season

Some Liverpool supporters have taken aim at a Manchester City fan, after his comments regarding the Premier League season.

Football around the world is currently on lockdown, following the outbreak of virus-related illness.

An update from the FA on Thursday [confirmed](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/03/19/good-news-for-liverpool-as-the-fa-confirm-plans-to-end-the-2019-20-season/) that the Premier League season has been suspended indefinitely, but is expected to be completed further down the line, whether it be in the summer or beyond.

With Liverpool leading the way by 25 points, this is an undoubted boost to anyone who supports the Reds, amid fears that the season could be voided completely.

The news doesn’t appear to have gone down well with everyone, however, with one City fan seeming particular bitter.

The individual in question, [@mancity2432](https://twitter.com/mancity2432/status/1240625952016785410?s=20), posted on Twitter to claim that the season would never be treated seriously because of the current break.

Unsurprisingly, these Liverpool supporters were not going to let such a ridiculous comment go ignored, letting their feelings be known on Twitter.
