# Liverpool fans mock Mills after criticism of Klopp’s FA Cup no-show

Jurgen Klopp has [dominated](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-boss-jurgen-klopp-backed-17702859) the football headlines this week, despite not taking charge of a Liverpool game.

The German has been enjoying his winter break, prior to returning to training next week, but his [decision](https://www.thisisanfield.com/2020/01/jurgen-klopp-says-he-wont-manage-liverpool-in-fa-cup-replay/) not to manage the Reds’ FA Cup fourth round replay against Shrewsbury Town caused much controversy.

Neil Critchley’s young side subsequently picked up a memorable [1-0 win](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51380211) at Anfield, thanks to Ro-Shaun Williams’ own goal.

Klopp’s decision was, therefore, ultimately vindicated in his decision – his senior stars are well-rested and Liverpool are still in the FA Cup, with a trip to Chelsea [coming next](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/386021-chelsea-v-liverpool-fa-cup-fixture-details-confirmed) in the fifth round.

Someone who has continued to criticise Klopp’s behaviour is former Manchester City defender Danny Mills.

Speaking on [talkSPORT](https://twitter.com/talkSPORT/status/1225669262645157888?s=20), Mills was adamant that the 52-year-old should have been present at Anfield on Tuesday night:

> “If you’re the manager you don’t suddenly go ‘I can’t come in’” ❌
>
> “He didn’t have to do tactics or training, just be there for the kids.” 😡
>
> “The manager should be there to support his own players.” 🙏

These Liverpool supporters have mocked Mills’ remarks, telling him to move on and accept that the decision paid off.

> Klopp makes decisions and you make comments, and that is why you're sat there and not the manager of the World and European Champions Danny me old fruit.

> Is there really no other stories in football to talk about? Or is it just Danny mills trying to make himself relevant?
