# Liverpool fans mock Neville’s plea to Maguire ahead of Premier League clash

Gary Neville has turned into a wreck these days, such is Liverpool’s brilliance and Manchester United’s level of mediocrity.

The United legend is clearly concerned about the prospect of the Reds winning the Premier League title, trying everything possible to inspire his former club to take points off them on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side will arrive at Old Trafford as strong favourites, but failure to win there since 2014 is proof that it will be a tough ask.

Neville has taken to Twitter urging Harry Maguire to do the business against Liverpool, also sharing a brilliant photo of a sign saying “When Harry met Salah”, in reference to the weekend game:

Needless to say, these Reds supporters have mocked the former right-back’s post.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

It’s great to see such desperate measures being taken by ex-United players, especially following their dominance of English football in the 1990s and 2000s.

How times have changed.

Maguire is going to have to be at his very best on Sunday if United are to have any chance of springing a surprise.

There is a feeling that he is slightly overrated, despite clearly being a good defender, and Liverpool will be desperate to show him up.
