Mohamed Salah has enjoyed a memorable two-and-a-half seasons at Liverpool, scoring [85 goals in 132 appearances](https://www.lfchistory.net/Players/Player/Profile/1317).

### Read Liverpool Verdict

I think this sums up the knee-jerk nature of the modern football fan, with many so emphatic about their opinion on a player.

Much like with Kevin De Bruyne, who also didn’t succeed at Chelsea, too many were quick to dismiss Salah just because of one failed spell in England.

In my opinion, the Egyptian is one of the best signings in Liverpool’s history, especially in terms of value for money.

His first season, in particular, was mesmerising, and he continues to be a star man for the [best club side in the world](https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/news/newsid=2636636.html).

I also think we now take him for granted as a collective, as he continues to [break goalscoring records](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/liverpool-brighton-premier-league-match-report-mohamed-salah-record-a8349831.html) left, right and centre.
