# Liverpool fans mock rivals supporter’s ridiculous theory about Reds

Liverpool supporters have been mocking a rival fan who has claimed the Reds now can’t be seen as a truly great team, simply because they have lost one game of football.

Jurgen Klopp’s side suffered the rare taste of defeat on Saturday evening, losing 3-0 away to Watford on an extremely disappointing night.

It meant Liverpool’s hopes of going the entire Premier League unbeaten ended in limp fashion, having not lost in the top flight since January 2019, totalling 44 matches.

This has been a remarkable campaign at Anfield, with various records already broken and other still on the cards, as Liverpool lie on the verge of a first league title since 1990.

They include a record points tally in the Premier League and clinching the title at the earliest date in history, with Manchester United currently holding that accolade ([2000/01 – April 14th](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51163821)).

Despite this, [@Culturecams](https://twitter.com/Culturecams) has claimed on [@Stoppagetimetv\_](https://twitter.com/Stoppagetimetv_/status/1234777368557912065?s=20) that the loss at Watford “has eliminated Liverpool from the greatest teams discussion, everything they’ve done we’ve seen before”:

Needless to say, these Liverpool supporters have been quick to shoot down such accusations, mocking the rival fan in question.

> The real talk is, sometimes you need it see beyond your hate for a team to appreciate what they are doing. Until you can move outside of that bracket your opinion (or anyone else’s) will be tainted.

> So if Liverpool get the highest points total ever that's been done before? Clueless
