# Liverpool fans mock Savage after ridiculous claim about Salah and Sancho

Some Liverpool supporters have been left perplexed by Robbie Savage’s comments about Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian once again showed how priceless he is to this Reds side on Saturday, scoring the equaliser in their 2-1 win at home to Bournemouth.

The Egyptian produced a clinical finish at a time when Jurgen Klopp’s side were struggling, scoring his [70th](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51786297) goal in 100 Premier League appearances for Liverpool.

Only Alan Shearer has managed a [better strike rate](https://www.planetfootball.com/quick-reads/how-salahs-record-after-100-pl-games-for-liverpool-compares-to-other-pl-greats/) in Premier League history, summing up what a phenomenal signing Salah has been.

On Sunday, Robbie Savage made a bold claim on [BBC Radio 5 Live](https://twitter.com/5liveSport/status/1236741993046384642?s=20), however, saying Jadon Sancho, who has [14 goals and 15 assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/346300/Show/Jadon-Sancho) in the Bundesliga this season, would be an upgrade on the 27-year-old this summer.

The young Englishman has been [linked](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2019/12/28/liverpools-interest-in-jadon-sancho-confirmed/) with a move to Liverpool at the end of the season, following another superb campaign for Borussia Dortmund.

These Reds fans have been reacting to Savage’s remarks on Twitter, accusing him of talking nonsense on the matter.
