# Liverpool fans react as Alisson closes in on Reds return

Alisson is closing in on a return to the Liverpool side, having not featured for six weeks.

The Brazilian injured his calf back on August 9th, as the Reds opened their Premier League account with a 4-1 win over Norwich City.

Jurgen Klopp has [confirmed](https://twitter.com/thisisanfield/status/1177523446433165312?s=20) that Alisson could return to training on Sunday, however, as he continues his comeback.

These Liverpool supporters have been left delighted with Klopp’s injury update, providing their reactions on Twitter.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

Alisson’s return is a huge positive for Liverpool, even though the Reds have done excellently without him.

The 26-year-old has been a revelation since arriving from Roma in the summer of 2018, cementing his reputation as arguably the best goalkeeper on the planet.

Klopp’s side haven’t always looked particularly secure at the back since Alisson got injured, keeping just one clean-sheet in the Premier League.

That’s nothing against Adrian, who has performed admirably in the Brazil No.1’s absence, but his teammate remains comfortably the superior option.
