# Liverpool fans react to Carragher’s title race comments

Liverpool legend and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has claimed that Manchester City will not win the Premier League if they persist with Nicolas Otamendi and John Stones.

Speaking on Monday Night Football, Carragher said that Otamendi simply is not good enough for City and that the pairing will cost them the title.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Whilst nothing is done and dusted in September when it comes to the Premier League, the partnership of Otamendi and Stones is a worrying one.

With the win percentage shown in that video, Manchester City would finish on 78 points – almost 20 points less than what Liverpool managed last season as they fell just short to Pep Guardiola’s side.

The loss of Aymeric Laporte is huge for City, as shown by Otamendia’s horror show against Manchester City, and it could tip the scales in Liverpool’s favour when it comes to the title race.
