# Liverpool fans react to Elliott’s outrageous goal for the U23s

Harvey Elliott [joined](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49143438) Liverpool from Fulham last summer, arriving for an undisclosed fee.

The 16-year-old has made [six appearances](https://www.lfchistory.net/Players/Player/GamesPerSeason/1337-129) for the first-team this season.

He made his debut in the [Carabao Cup win over MK Dons](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49736855) in September, and most recently started Sunday’s [2-2 draw at Shrewsbury Town](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51208528) in the FA Cup.

Elliott was in action for Liverpool’s Under-23s on Wednesday night, rather than being involved in the first-team’s [2-0 victory at West Ham](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ishzMaNNpDo).

The young Reds fought back from 2-0 down at Molineux, [drawing 2-2](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/academy/384845-match-report-liverpool-u23s-wolves-premier-league-international-cup) to reach the quarter-finals of the Premier League International Cup.

It was Elliott who equalised for Neil Critchley’s side, producing a [stunning overhead kick](https://twitter.com/robbohuyton/status/1222617739438804994?s=20) in the second half:

It was a moment that further highlighted why the teenager is rated so highly, as he continues to impress at Liverpool.

These Reds supporters waxed lyrical about Elliott’s memorable strike on Twitter, lauding the forward’s technical expertise.

> The fact that he's like 3-4 meters inside the NEAR post is what makes this especially crazy. How do you even think to attempt that off a corner?! What an angle.
