# Liverpool fans react to Gary Neville’s hilarious social media blunder

Even the most ardent Liverpool supporter may have to accept that Gary Neville is a good pundit – one of the best around in fact, [along with](https://www.sportsjoe.ie/football/jamie-carragher-is-now-a-better-pundit-than-gary-neville-120140) Jamie Carragher.

The former right-back was an unpopular figure on Merseyside during his Manchester United days, when he racked up silverware and showed his [dislike for the Reds](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/manchester-united-news-gary-neville-reveals-infamous-badge-kissing-in-2006-liverpool-clash-was-a7361121.html).

While United once dominated the English game, the tables have turned now, with Liverpool [on the cusp](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/table) of Premier League glory.

On Monday night, Neville couldn’t help but get carried away when Jurgen Klopp’s men went 2-1 down at home to West Ham, claiming they were bottling the title in a Twitter video filmed in the Sky Sports studio:

It’s almost as though he hasn’t watched Liverpool this season, though, and his post backfired spectacularly, as the Reds went on to win 3-2 at Anfield.

Needless to say, the video ended up being a huge hit among these Liverpool supporters, who took to Twitter to mock the former United man.
