# Liverpool fans think Lovren has jinxed them with latest comments

Liverpool are on an unstoppable march to Premier League glory this season, sitting a whopping [22 points ahead](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/table) of Manchester City.

The Reds know that 18 more points will guarantee a first league title since 1990, in what will be one of the most celebrated achievements in the club’s history.

Football supporters can be a [superstitious bunch](https://www.joe.co.uk/sport/footballs-strangest-fan-superstitions-and-what-they-really-mean-nivea-156619), however, never wishing to tempt fate.

Not every Liverpool fan may be ready to say the title race is over just yet, in case the unthinkable happens and Jurgen Klopp’s men collapse from here.

Someone who has a history of speaking to the press, and subsequently [receiving flak](https://www.rt.com/sport/447038-lovren-unbeaten-season-comments-liverpool/) for it, is Dejan Lovren.

Last season, the Croatian [claimed](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46628537) Liverpool could go unbeaten in the league, only to [lose](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46690612) at City a few weeks later – admittedly their only defeat of the campaign.

Lovren has now been at it again in an interview with [Sky Sports](https://twitter.com/SkySportsPL/status/1227256507428999176?s=20), talking up the idea of the Reds breaking records and being remembered as “one of the best teams”.

These Liverpool supporters have been left frustrated with the 30-year-old’s remarks.

> When I saw this interview I was like nooooo Dejen swear his cursed we know what happened last time he opened his mouth
