# Liverpool fans will love what Leeds star has said about Kane

Leeds United star Mateusz Klich has criticised Harry Kane’s comments about voiding the Premier League season.

The Championship club sit on the verge of promotion to the Premier League, but the postponement of football has put paid to that for the time being.

Liverpool find themselves in a similarly agonising position, lying inches away from a first league title since 1990.

Kane recently [claimed](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52086428) that the season should be declared null and void if it isn’t completed by the end of June.

Speaking to [Leeds Live](https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/harry-kane-leeds-united-promotion-18018253), Klich was critical of the Tottenham striker’s remarks, mentioning Liverpool in the process.

> I’m watching BBC News and Sky Sports News every day. Different solutions, different plans, but the hope we are going to end the season.
>
> I don’t know who wants to finish the season more, us or Liverpool. Yesterday, Harry Kane said the season should be cancelled, but I know why he wants that.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

I don’t understand the desperation to [void](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52086428) this season when beginning the 2020/21 campaign is far less important currently.

Finishing the current season must surely take precedence, ensuring promotions and relegated are sorted, avoiding potential legal ramifications in the process.

Of course, there could be a bias from a Liverpool and Leeds perspective, but the same may be said of Kane.

Could it be that Spurs’ struggles this season mean their captain is happy to see a voided season?

If that is the case, I think it is a rather selfish stance, when avoiding that scenario remains crucial for the whole of football.
