# Liverpool hold ‘concrete talks’ over move for Havertz

The Bayer Leverkusen star is one of the most exciting young midfielders in Europe, starring for the Bundesliga side.

Havertz is expected to leave Leverkusen at the end of the season, in order to enjoy a fresh challenge.

Liverpool are one of those to have been linked with signing Havertz, but Manchester United, Manchester City, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also seen as potential suitors.

The [£81 million-rated](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kai-havertz/profil/spieler/309400) midfielder and his agent are believed to have discussed a move with the Reds.

Havertz would be a magnificent signing for Liverpool, if a deal ever crossed the finish line.

Blessed with wonderful technical ability, the 20-year-old would add another dimension to the Reds’ midfield.
