# Liverpool interested in signing £35m-rated Rashica this summer

Liverpool and Aston Villa are the front-runners to sign Milot Rashica this summer, according to [Gazeta Blic](https://gazetablic.com/), via the [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-discover-asking-price-transfer-21733913).

The Kosovan has shone for Werder Bremen this season, [scoring seven goals and registering four assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/289014/Show/Milot-Rashica) in the Bundesliga.

The German side are demanding £35 million for Rashica’s services, with Liverpool contemplating a bid.

Liverpool could definitely do with more attacking depth out wide, especially with Xherdan Shaqiri [potentially moving on](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/03/12/six-liverpool-players-set-to-leave-the-club-this-summer/) this summer.

Too often, the onus is on Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane to stay fit and deliver the goods, with not enough consistent quality coming from the bench.

I think Rashica has the end product, pace and trickery to be an effective addition, easing the workload on Salah and Mane. He has averaged [2.2 dribbles per game](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/289014/Show/Milot-Rashica) in the league this season, which is more than any Liverpool player. [Mane (1.9) and Salah (1.7)](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/26/Show/England-Liverpool) come out on top for the Reds.

While £35 million is not necessarily cheap for a back-up option, the money generated from selling Shaqiri, and [potentially Divock Origi](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/four-liverpool-players-who-could-21696753), could make it a worthwhile amount to pay.
