# Liverpool linked with move for Nice youngster Brazao

Liverpool are eyeing up a January move for Pedro Brazao, according to *[RMC Sport](https://rmcsport.bfmtv.com/football/)*, via the [https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7904305/Liverpool-consider-January-Portuguese-wonderkid-Pedro-Brazao-amid-PSG-Bayern-interest.html](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7904305/Liverpool-consider-January-Portuguese-wonderkid-Pedro-Brazao-amid-PSG-Bayern-interest.html)*[Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7904305/Liverpool-consider-January-Portuguese-wonderkid-Pedro-Brazao-amid-PSG-Bayern-interest.html)*.

The 17-year-old Nice winger made his [debut](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/pedro-brazao/profil/spieler/577590) for the Ligue 1 this season and is being tipped for a bright future.

Liverpool are believed to be keen on signing the Portugal Under-19 star, but [Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7904305/Liverpool-consider-January-Portuguese-wonderkid-Pedro-Brazao-amid-PSG-Bayern-interest.html) could provide stiff competition for his signature.

Sporting CP are also touted as a potential candidate, should a return home appeal to Brazao.[https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/379040-liverpool-fc-agree-deal-to-sign-takumi-minamino](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/379040-liverpool-fc-agree-deal-to-sign-takumi-minamino)

[Takumi Minamino](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/379040-liverpool-fc-agree-deal-to-sign-takumi-minamino) and [Joe Hardy](https://www.thisisanfield.com/2020/01/liverpool-sign-young-brentford-striker-joe-hardy/) have already come in at Anfield this month, from Salzburg and Brentford respectively.

I can’t admit to knowing anything about Brazao as a player, but given Liverpool’s scouting brilliance during the Jurgen Klopp era, he could be an exciting addition.

This is a perfect time for a young player to move to Merseyside, in my opinion, with a [new training ground](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/training-ground/373841-liverpool-fc-new-training-ground-update) opening in the summer, meaning first-team stars will train alongside academy prospects.

Brazao could excel in the youth setup initially, despite already playing senior football this season, before making the step up to the Reds.

I think it is clear that Jurgen Klopp is always willing to give youth a chance, shown recently in the [FA Cup win over Everton](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50976228), so the teenager would fit right in at Liverpool.
