# Liverpool ‘on course’ to match Arsenal’s Invincibles, claims Wenger

Arsene Wenger believes Liverpool could go the entire Premier League season unbeaten, replicating his Arsenal side’s past achievements.

The Gunners didn’t lose a single Premier League game in 2003/04, on their way to clinching title glory.

Liverpool find themselves unbeaten at the midway point of the campaign, with some tipping that to be the case in May.

Wenger is one of those who hasn’t ruled out the possibility of the Reds replicating his Invincibles side, but told *[beIN SPORTS](https://www.goal.com/en/news/liverpool-on-course-to-emulate-arsenals-invincibles-after/c4m19sl58vq1s02xpm61acep)* that their focus will be solely on winning the league:

> They were close last year and they are still on course to do it.

> But I think what Liverpool is expecting at the moment is just to win the Premier League and that is the first target for such a football city.

> To stay for 30 years without winning the Premier League…nobody would have predicted that.

> That is their main target and I think they are on a good run and on a good course to achieving that this season because their main opponent is quite far away already.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

Should Liverpool go the season unbeaten, it would be a stunning achievement that few thought was possible.

There is still a huge amount of work to be done, however, and as Wenger alluded to, sealing the title takes precedence.

Chances are, Liverpool will come unstuck in a game, simply by the law of averages, but they have created an incredible winning mentality.

Arsenal supporters will certainly be concerned that their past efforts could be matched.
