# Liverpool Player Ratings: Manchester United (A)

Liverpool return to the top of the Premier League after playing out a dour 0-0 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

It was a strange game, which began with Ashley Young messing a back pass and allowing Roberto Firmino to pressurise David De Gea. At the end of that, the Spaniard gave away a indirect free-kick in his own box but the Reds couldn’t capitalise on that opportunity.

After that, three United players picked up injuries – Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard. Liverpool also suffered, with Roberto Firmino having to be taken off.

Amidst all that, Romelu Lukaku played in fantastic through ball for Lingard, who got one-on-one with the keeper but Alisson did well to save.

In comes the second half and United were understandably sitting deep and happy with a point. Liverpool couldn’t force the issue as their final third passing was atrocious, to say the least.

Here’s how we rate the Liverpool players after the game…
