# Liverpool player ratings: Roma (A)

Liverpool secured their place in this year’s Champions League final after they beat Roma 7-6 on aggregate.

The Reds lost 4-2 to Roma on Wednesday night but were still able to go through after winning the first leg 5-2 at Anfield last week.

An early goal from Sadio Mane put Liverpool in front in Rome, before an equaliser in the form of a James Milner own goal.

Gini Wijnaldum’s first ever away goal for Liverpool put Jurgen Klopp’s men ahead again.

Roma then scored three second-half goals to win the game 4-2 on the day, but fell one goal short of being able to progress to the final.
