# Liverpool “pulled into the chase” for Ruiz signing – he would be an ideal addition

Fabian Ruiz would be a fantastic signing by Liverpool next summer, adding guaranteed quality to the midfield.

According to *Calciomercato*, via [https://sportwitness.co.uk/liverpool-man-city-pulled-chase-e60m-spaniard-hype-turns-relentless/](https://sportwitness.co.uk/liverpool-man-city-pulled-chase-e60m-spaniard-hype-turns-relentless/)*[Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/liverpool-man-city-pulled-chase-e60m-spaniard-hype-turns-relentless/)*, the Reds have been “pulled into the chase” for the Napoli star, along with Manchester City.

There is set to be an auction for Ruiz ahead of a likely exit from the Serie A club at the end of this season, with Barcelona and Real Madrid also thought to be eyeing up a move.

The 23-year-old is valued at around €60 million, having impressed at Napoli since joining from Real Betis last year.

Although Liverpool are well-stocked in midfield areas currently, Ruiz would still be an excellent acquisition.

With James Milner approaching his 34th birthday, and both Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum also not too far away from hitting their 30s, young blood is required in the middle of the park.

Ruiz has the talent and work ethic to be a huge success at Anfield – Liverpool have witnessed his class firsthand in the Champions League, losing twice at Napoli in the last 12 months, and winning 1-0 at home.

It will be difficult for the Reds to acquire the Spain international’s signature, should their interest be genuine, given the calibre of clubs up against them.

Liverpool are at a point where they should appeal to any player, however, especially after last season’s Champions League success.
