# Liverpool reportedly reach an agreement with Lemar

Liverpool have reportedly reached an agreement with Thomas Lemar over a potential move this month.

According to [Yahoo Sport](https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/liverpool-open-talks-brazil-starlet-jurgen-klopp-eyes-another-south-american-legend-210255785.html)[,](https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/liverpool-open-talks-brazil-starlet-jurgen-klopp-eyes-another-south-american-legend-210255785.html) Liverpool have an agreement in place with Lemar.

The only stumbling block is, currently, Monaco’s hefty asking price for the Frenchman, despite Liverpool’s success with the player himself.

Monaco are looking for a fee in the region of €100m to part ways with Lemar, which would break Liverpool’s transfer record.

Liverpool have already broken their record once this window, signing Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton for £75m – also a world-record fee for a defender.

Jurgen Klopp has been pursuing Lemar since the last transfer window and is a huge admirer of the winger, as he looks for a replacement for Philippe Coutinho after he joined Barcelona earlier this month.

The report also claims that Liverpool are interested in Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic. Liverpool could be ready to wait until the summer before moving for the USA international.
