# Liverpool ready to battle Real Madrid for Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe is arguably the most valuable player in world football right now, considering his age.

The Paris Saint-Germain is still only 20 and he looks like the man to eventually take over the throne from Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

There have been rumours linking Mbappe with a stunning move to Liverpool in recent months and another story has now emerged.

According to [https://eldesmarque.com/madrid/real-madrid/noticias/175140-ultima-hora-mbappe-y-lo-cambia-todo-florentino-perez-tiene-un-problema-ed](https://eldesmarque.com/madrid/real-madrid/noticias/175140-ultima-hora-mbappe-y-lo-cambia-todo-florentino-perez-tiene-un-problema-ed)*[El Desmarque](https://eldesmarque.com/madrid/real-madrid/noticias/175140-ultima-hora-mbappe-y-lo-cambia-todo-florentino-perez-tiene-un-problema-ed)* – admittedly, a far from reliable source – the Reds are willing to battle Real Madrid for his signature.

Mbappe is valued at a staggering £180 million by [https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kylian-mbappe/profil/spieler/342229](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kylian-mbappe/profil/spieler/342229)*[Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kylian-mbappe/profil/spieler/342229)*, with PSG sure to be desperate to hold onto their star man.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

In terms of statement signings, it wouldn’t get any bigger for Liverpool than securing the services of Mbappe.

It remains a transfer that seems highly unlikely, however, given his vast price tag and wage demands.

Liverpool’s imminent new kit deal with Nike was seen as a potential way of getting their man, but it remains hard to see happening.

Unfortunately, Madrid looks a more likely destination – from a footballing perspective, Mbappe should want to join the Reds instead, though.
