# Liverpool see Ruiz as an alternative to Isco

Fabian Ruiz is seen an alternative to Isco for Liverpool, according to *[El Desmarque](https://eldesmarque.com/madrid/real-madrid/noticias/182900-kloppp-lo-quiere-a-el-y-juega-en-el-real-madrid-de-zidane-ed)*.

Isco has been linked with a move to Anfield in the same report, with Jurgen Klopp thought to be keen on signing him.

Ruiz has emerged an another option, however, having been [tipped](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2019/09/26/liverpool-pulled-into-the-chase-for-ruiz-signing-he-would-be-an-ideal-addition/) to make a move to the Reds in the past.

The 23-year-old impressed in both Champions League matches against Liverpool for Napoli this season.

He would represent a more expensive option than Isco, with the latter [valued](https://eldesmarque.com/madrid/real-madrid/noticias/182900-kloppp-lo-quiere-a-el-y-juega-en-el-real-madrid-de-zidane-ed) at €70 million (£59 million).

### Read Liverpool Verdict

Ruiz would be a great signing for Liverpool, in my opinion, as well as a superior alternative to Isco.

For starters, he is four years younger and he also has more midfield dynamism, with is vital in a Klopp side.

On top of that, he possesses quality, scoring [five goals and registering four assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/294193/History/Fabi%C3%A1n-Ruiz) in Serie A this season.

I think Isco is a bad fit now, whereas it is easy to envisage Ruiz playing for this Liverpool team.

Silky on the ball, hard-working and physical, the Spain international would provide competition for places and even more depth.
