# Liverpool supporters are desperate for Oxlade-Chamberlain to face Atletico

Some Liverpool supporters are keen to see Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain start against Atletico Madrid this evening.

The Reds’ defence of their Champions League crown is on the line at Anfield, as Diego Simeone’s men look to dump them out of Europe.

Atletico lead 1-0 after the first leg of the last 16 tie, so a big performance is required from Jurgen Klopp and his players.

While most of Klopp’s starting line-up picks itself, from Adrian in goal to Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in attack, the midfield is tougher to predict.

Liverpool have six or seven options in that area of the pitch, with Jordan Henderson fit after returning from injury.

One player who a number of fans are keen to see handed a start is Oxlade-Chamberlain, who offers attacking thrust and guile in the final third.

These Liverpool supporters showed their love for the 26-year-old on Twitter, talking him up as a key man at Anfield.

> Ox instead of Gini imo. Bring on Gini for Fab if we haven’t scored by the 60’ and drop Henderson deep
