# Liverpool target Nabil Fekir eyes summer move

Liverpool transfer target Nabil Fekir will reportedly leave Lyon next summer, according to *[L’Equipe](https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Article/C1-nabil-fekir-la-tete-au-match-contre-hoffenheim/956380)*.

The highly-rated Frenchman looked almost certain to make the switch to Anfield earlier this year, only for a knee problem to be detected and the move to collapse at the 11th hour.

Frustration surrounded the news, both with Fekir himself and Reds supporters, given the quality he would bring to the side in a No.10 role.

Having missed out on a dream move, the 25-year-old is now expected to exit Lyon at the end of this season.

His current contract at the Ligue 1 giants expires in 2020, so selling him next year will be their best chance of receiving a huge bid for him.

Whether Liverpool come back in for Fekir remains to be seen, but he won’t be without suitors, as his reputation continues to rise.

Bayern Munich are the latest top club to be linked with acquiring his signature, as they look to bolster their attacking options.

Fekir started and scored in Lyon’s 2-2 draw at home to Hoffenheim in the Champions League on Wednesday, keeping them second in Group F behind Manchester City.

The stylish attacker also won the World Cup with France in the summer, appearing in six of their seven games.
