# Liverpool target Rabiot set for Man City switch

Liverpool target Adrien Rabiot looks set to reject a move to Anfield, with the midfielder reportedly set to join rivals Manchester City on a free transfer.

The midfielder is out of contract at the end of this season, and the [Metro](https://metro.co.uk/2018/09/21/adrien-rabiot-open-to-joining-manchester-city-on-free-transfer-7968094/) reports that the Frenchman will join Pep Guardiola’s Man City at the end of the season.

Rabiot had spent a year in Man City’s academy as a youngster but returned to his home country due to homesickness.

The midfielder’s talks with Paris Saint Germain have stalled as of late, meaning that the midfielder is likely to move away from the French capital on the expiration of his current deal.

Rabiot had been linked with a move to the Reds, with the midfielder playing in PSG’s 3-2 defeat to Liverpool on Tuesday night. However, it now looks likely that the Frenchman will return to Manchester.

Barcelona and Juventus are also showing an interest in the midfielder, with PSG likely to be open to offers in January if talks continue to stall.
